2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies & tracking

Our website does not use third-party advertising trackers. We may use minimal, essential cookies or local storage strictly required for the site to function (e.g., remembering that you dismissed a notice). We do not run cross-site advertising pixels.

4. Data retention

We retain your email address and signup details for as long as your account remains active, or until you request deletion. Download logs are retained for a limited period for abuse-monitoring purposes and are periodically purged.

5. Your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@theipinsight.com from the address associated with your signup. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including access controls on our servers and unique, non-guessable access tokens for dataset downloads. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-party data in our datasets

Our published datasets contain information about IP addresses and network infrastructure — this is technical/network data, not personal data about individuals, and is compiled from publicly available sources and our own active scanning. This Privacy Policy concerns information about you as a user of our Service (e.g., your email), not the contents of the datasets themselves.

8. International users

Our servers may be located in a different country than you. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
